Boquete

Boquete is the current hot spot in the province of Chiriqui, just thirty minutes from David, the capital of Panama's Chiriqui Province, located among the country's most mountainous region. Boquete is a scenic and diverse location near the border of Costa Rica and approximately seven hours from Panama City. It is home to a magnificent cool climate, mountainous regions with ocean views, and a growing ex patriot community. Boquete is a quiet country town with only a few shops and hotels. But the growing number of foreign residents is making this area somewhat of a new bohemia. The restaurants, nightlife and area activities are slowly changing to meet the growing demands of tourists and foreign locals.
