Where is Taboga located?
Taboga Island, also called the Island of Flowers, is located in
the Gulf of Panama, 20 km (12 miles) south of Panama City.
How to get there?
You can get there in an hour by boat. The boat leaves from pier 18
in Balboa Harbor, 10 minutes from down town Panama City. For the
first 15 minutes on the way to Taboga you follow the same route as
the ships in the Canal on the Pacific side, so you pass under the
Bridge of the Americas. Of course, you can also travel in a
private yacht or boat.

What to do and Where
to go?
The Island is 5.9 km2, (or 2.3 square miles), and offers beautiful
beaches with transparent water like La Restinga or Playa Honda.
You can fish, practice water sports, dive, walk around the small
town of the island and learn about its history, like up the "Las
Tres Cruses" or "El Vigía" hills, or visit the "Taboga Island Wild
life Refuge".
