El Valle Anton
This picturesque town is located in the crater of an extinguished
volcano. Its cool and spring-like climate makes it an excellent
summer resort. Famous for its market featuring handcrafts, fresh
fruit and vegetables and beautiful native plants such as orchids
and bougainvilleas.
While you are there,
you can experience the Canopy Tour along the waterfall of El
Macho. Ride in a gondola supported by cables through the canopy of
trees for a breathtaking panoramic view of the great rainforest.
Or enjoy a scenic ride on horseback. Be sure to visit the painted
stone, an
enormous stone petroglyph with strange images and symbols. Some
say it is an ancient map of the region.
