Pedasi
Written by admin
Pedasi, a small town on the Azuero Peninsula in the Province of Los Santos, is arguably the region’s prettiest town. The Spanish Colonial architecture is well-preserved: terra cotta tile and white gingerbread houses line the streets and the friendly locals camped out on thier porches will wave you hello. The town is one long main street called Avenida Central, with a lovely plaza two blocks from the main road. The paved and signed streets and recently well-tended buildings exist because the former president Mireya Moscoso is from Pedasi-a picture of her welcomes you as you come into town, and there is also a bust of her in the plaza. Pedasi has a somewhat thriving ex pat community, young and old. Gorgeous Isla Iguana is just a mototboat ride away, and playa Venao, and playa Del Toro are within walking distance.
