Istmo Pub- Pleasant outdoor stools and tables are surrounded by old barrel kegs, which make Istmo Brew Pub a good little spot to sit down on a lazy summer evening and catch up with a friend. Guru- Possibly the trendiest of all Panama clubs, Guru is a club-goer’s dream and it knows it. The big men at the door and high-priced drinks remind you that Panama does indeed know how to party. Cover charge is usually $10 and worth every penny. The place attracts a young, image-conscious demographic so dress to impress.
Carnaval-The Friday before Ash Wednesday will bring large parades, billowing smoke from barbeque stands, cold beverages, and some of the best energy in the world as Panama City’s Carnaval commences. For nearly four straight days the city will forget about work and spend their time in the streets celebrating one of the most recognizable festivals in the world.
