Joron- A typical open-air Panamanian restaurant, Joron Oasis, is opposite the Accel gas station and is frequented by locals. If you go, be sure to try the sopa de carne; it’s their specialty and should be ordered with rice. Just fill your spoon with rice and dip it into the soup. It’s great!
Barcelo Guayacanes- You get the best of both worlds with Barcelo Guayacanes, a restaurant situated on a bluff overlooking Chitre. They have excellent seafood dishes, grilled meats, and many other specialties. The ambiance is rich with lots of woodwork from the native guayan tree. Phone: 996-8669
Resturante El Meson- If you are looking for a little comfort food from back home, try Resturante El Meson. They have awesome grub at a good price: the pork roast and the paella are to die for. Phone: 996-6660
