Twist Restaurant- A Sheer Delight

Last night I had the pleasure of dining at Twist.
Steps up to the restaurant are lit with tiny candles on each side of the staircase. Little touches such as this are notable throughout the restaurant and definitely add to the mellow and dimly lit ambiance. Twist would be the perfect place for a date, or drinks with gal pals to spill the latest gossip. Inside, large wooden columns are stained a very elegant dark purple, which contrasts neatly with a ceiling that looks like patches of creamy leather sofas overhead.
Now, we should probably get to the food! This is mostly a Thai inspired restaurant. I was impressed with the chicken satay appetizer. Skewers were just the right size, not too much meat, not too little, and the peanut sauce was savory. I also enjoyed a fresh “twist” (no pun intended) on traditional Tom Kah Gai soup, as the one served here is much spicier but complemented well with undertones of coconut milk. I would rate the Pad Thai fair to midlin’, as the hit of main dishes of the night was a delightful fried Sweet and Sour Corvina with black beans.
The best part of the night were the amazingly delicious Mojitos. It’s scary how many of these I would have liked to have drank. However, a close second was the warm pecan pie with ice cream.
Twist offers an elegant atmosphere, delightful cuisine, and extremely accommodating service. I highly recommend you pay a visit.
Twist is located on Ave Federico Boyd. For reservations call: 302-7997.
