Sahara Won’t Let You Down

Sahara Nightclub has the best of both indoor and outdoor worlds and because of this, might be my favorite bar on Calle Uruguay. There is tons of outdoor seating if you want to chill and talk Sitting outside is always fun and bumping with people if you want to talk and tons of outdoor seating, always bumping with people. We pushed about five tables together the other night and our ice buckets and Vodka supply was filled diligently by the waiters.
I love the song selection of random 80s and 90s but the fact that they are accompanied with the music videos on several TVs really takes the cake. Inside it is always busy and dark and dingy (in a good way) and the same music that plays outdoors plays indoors, but louder. Go inside to play pool or dance in the bar area late night, nobody else does, but I’m not concerned with that by three in the morning. Stay outdoors until it gets busy inside, usually around that time. Sometimes a band plays and they usually begin around 1:30. Honestly, Sahara isn’t full of Panamanian culture, and like my other favorite The Londoner it is full of ex pats and American music, but if all else fails and you need a little Salt n Pepa or Tom Petty to get you in the mood, Sahara will not let you down.
