Real Estate On Panama’s Central Pacific Coast Is Still A Good Option

Coronado – One Of The Many Real Estate Choices In Central Panama
Panama continues to build real estate projects at an astounding rate. Panama City is bursting with new construction and the prices are as big as the buildings. There are still areas in Panama where one can purchase land or a home with a reasonable amount of money, and a higher quality of life.
The area of Panama stretching from Gorgona to Penonome has seen new projects arise, yet at a much more reasonable pace than Panama City. Another advantage this location offers is that it is within a short driving distance from Panama City, yet far enough away to escape some of the issues effecting the big city.
This part of the country offers pretty decent surfing and some beautiful beaches. Two of the countries largest all inclusive resorts are also located here, near the small town of Farallon. Many tourists who come to Panama on a package vacation know this area quite well, which has helped the boom continue on the central Pacific coast. Some of Panama’s most well known and higher end beach residences are located in this beautiful part of the country.
The climate on Panama’s central Pacific coast is ideal for beach tourism. It’s warm and relatively dry throughout the year. This area has been home to resort and residential developments for many years so the infrastructure is better than in some other areas of Panama. There is a large 24-hour grocery store that serves this part of the country, as well as banks, medical clinics and mail service. For those who want to escape the heat once in a while, the quaint mountain community of El Valle de Anton is just a short drive away.
Coronado, just an hour west of Panama City was the country’s first weekend/beach community for wealthy Panamanians and is also home to many foreigners. This town also boasts one of Panama’s best golf courses, a resort and an equestrian center.
Real estate prices in the central Pacific coast are higher than they were a few years ago, but you can still find reasonable deals on raw land, houses or high rise condominiums. Prices for raw land in this area run around $60/m2 and it is possible to buy a beachfront condo for around $200,000. The prices may not be dirt cheap but they are reasonable considering you can live in an area fairly close to Panama City and with all amenities close by. This area is ideal for someone who wants easy access to the city but still live a relaxing beach lifestyle.

I thought since I was negative on your taxi article I should give you praise on this article. I would say someone who reads it would be willing to check things out and make their own judgment.
I saw a taxi article in a Canadian paper where the taxi drivers refused short trips to nearby hotels to stranded air travelers. The operating agreement the drivers have with the airport requires they provide these fares; but the drivers wanted the more lucrative fare to the city. If they take the short fare, they get to jump the cue when they return to the airport pit but they still refused the fares. Some people walked to the hotels in the rain dragging their luggage. Guess refusal of fares by taxi drivers happens in Canada too. I bet if they were given a higher than posted fare, they would take the passenger. There sometimes is a workable solution agreeable to both parties.
