Panama’s Olympic Soccer Hopes Crushed
Last night the Panamanian soccer team lost their shot at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. After forty minutes of playing time, a penalty kick by Freddy Adu gave the U.S. a 1-0 victory. The penalty was given after Jose Calderon, Panama’s goalie, tripped U.S. player Jozy Altidore.
Panama’s next shot at the Olympics will be London 2012.
