Jap Jap is The Answer

If you crave the smell of tantalizing chicken in your nostrils, quick service, and outside dining with a great view, you’ll love Jap Jap in El Cangrejo. Do you wake up some nights longing for home and missing your mother’s potato salad? Jap Jap is the answer.
Do you sometimes daydream about when you were young and free and broke in Europe, eating kebabs only from street venders? Jap Jap is the answer. Did your boss forget to pay you this month? Scrape together $2.50 and Jap Jap is the answer.
Every day is a holiday and every meal is a feast when entire whole chickens are under five dollars. The chimichurri sauce on the chicken is “a little splash of heaven” according to Cailey. The pollo pita tastes like a German kebab, except without shaved mystery meat and the exchange rate. Plus, if your car is dirty, the children at the carwash will clean it before you can say “arroz con pollo.”
Despite its popularity during lunch time, the food at Jap Jap comes out quickly and is always delicious. During a long workday it is completely refreshing and rejuvenating to sit on the concrete shaded patio and enjoy a juicy chicken and a Squirt. I find it somewhat bizarre that there are at least four TVs on the outdoor patio, but it only makes for a more pleasant experience watching a telenovela during a five to seven minute wait.

When asked “Where do you want to go to lunch?” For the poor, nostalgic, chicken lover, like me, Jap Jap is always the answer.
