One of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at so far in Panama City is Il Pomodoro, an Italian restaurant located on the Amador Causeway in the first strip of shops. The service here is great, the waitstaff works as a team, but not annoyingly so. A complimentary basket of thick warm bread with a small dish of vinegar, oil and basil is promptly brought out to your table. The menu is expansive, covering every traditional Italian pasta dish one could imagine, as well as offering many other options from poultry to fish and an array of salads for vegetarians. I’ve tried the chicken lasagna in white sauce and would highly recommend it. The best part of Il Pomodoro is definitely the scenery. Enjoy the outside patio with view of the ocean, perfect for people and ship watching.
