Herrera Named Panama’s 2008 Baseball MVP

Freddy Herrera, Panama Baseball MVP
The Veraguas’ slugger was chosen as the Most Valuable Player of Panama’s professional baseball league. This is his second such honor, having received the MVP award in 2005. He is in his 16th season in the local league.
He posted impressive stats this season, with a .406 batting average and a monstrous .719 slugging percentage. He was both batting and home run champion this season.
Herrera is the fourth Veraguas player to have earned the award.
