Former Kidnapper Turned Panama Beach Developer

Possibly the weirdest story of the week is the totally un-shocking news that Dutch developer Martin Erkamps is under investigation for shady real estate deals. His supposed $500 million dollar residential project, M&M Gaden View, was to be built in the relatively sleepy coastal town of Las Tablas in the Los Santos Province.
Erkamps served 10 years in prision for the kidnapping of beer magnate Freddie Heineken. The 44 year old Erkamps is under investigation after multiple complaints were filed against him by U.S. investors who claim they were sold lots without title. Mirna Craig, one of the investors, claims they advanced Erkamps $350 million dollars to participate in the venture.
OUCH! They probably should have Googled Mr. Erkamps before sending the wires. Or maybe they knew he was an ex-con?
