Another Day, Another Party in Panama

Panama’s Traditions On Display In Veraguas
As the town of Las Tablas recovers and cleans up from the Santa Librada Festival, Santiago is now gearing up for their annual party. Santiago Patronales takes place this coming weekend in the province of Veraguas.
Nearly every town in Panama has their own annual festival and Patronales de Santiago Apostol is one of the most popular in the country. As with most festivals, there is a religious aspect to the festivities, as well as a huge party throughout the town.
There will be parades, exhibitions, outdoor bars and beer tents as well as great displays of the traditions and cultures of the province of Veraguas.
Santiago is about 3 hours from Panama City and the festival begins Thursday and runs until early next week.
