Airfares To Panama Plunge

Great Airline Discounts To Panama Are Now Available
Anyone who travels frequently between the US or Canada and Panama will tell you that airfare often costs an arm and a leg. I have been making the trip between Canada and Panama for more than 4 years and usually have to cough up about $700 US for a round trip ticket. Luckily, things are changing.
If you are fortunate enough to live within driving distance of Miami, you’ve probably not had to worry too much about the cost of the trip to Panama, as that leg usually only costs a few hundred dollars. When you have to add on a connection, that when the cost really adds up.
Spirit Airlines is now flying in to Panama City, and though the discount airline offers great prices to and from Panama, their schedule is often inconvenient, leaving Panama at one in the morning and only three days a week. If you can handle the flight schedule, Spirit will only charge you about $400 round trip from Detroit to Panama City.
If you prefer to fly with a different carrier, American Airlines has just reduced their airfare to and from Panama. Using the same departure city (Detroit) as an example, you can now fly to Panama and back for about $350. Continental has dropped their fares to Panama as well. A return ticket from Detroit to Panama now costs only $340/person.
Even Delta Airlines is getting in on the action. I have always found Delta to be one of the more expensive carriers to travel to Panama on, but they have dropped their prices as well. Now with Delta you can fly from Detroit to Panama City for $338 return.
If you have been procrastinating booking your trip to Panama, don’t wait! With these steep discounts, two can now fly for the price of one regular fare. Because of the lower fares, the flights are booking up quickly, so stop procrastinating! Now is a great time to visit Panama! Prices are always changing, so book now to guarantee these great discounts.
* Flight dates checked were October 23 to November 3.

Oct 16, 2008, I had inquired to 2 charters - Sunwing and Sunquest and found out that they are not renewing their contract destinations to Panama this year. Sunquest informed me that this is because of yellow fever, last year and this year.
So, yes, by the mere mention of yellow fever, the Panamanian government and all these write ups did their some damage to their tourism or better still our chartered companies read it incorrectly.
