Bakery Assistant in Playa Chiquita, near Puerto Viejo de Limon.

We are currently looking for a bakery assistant for C & J’s Homemade kitchen. Homemade regularly offers an assortment of breads, cakes and desserts as well as salsa, dips and other food to go in ecologically friendly packaging. Everything we make or bake uses fresh ingredients and is made entirely from scratch. Our apple pie has been called “world’s best” and “legendary.”

The duties of the qualified individual are not limited to baking. The employee will also be assisting with other aspects of C & J, including store clerk, juice bar assistant, general cleaning, customer service and other needs as required.

Housing may be available at our cabinas…details to be worked out with the individual.

Duties to include:

Baking/cooking items from C & J Homemade’s menu and special requests (including pie, cake, frosting, candy, birthday cakes with decoration, pizza and more)

Juice bar assistant and maintenance – making juices, produce washing and preparation, cleaning and maintenance of equipment

Store clerk – customer service, cash handling, receiving orders, stocking

Requirements:

Three month minimum commitment with possibility for long-term

Preference for Spanish/English speaking

Some baking, customer service or restaurant experience

Salary is based on local wages
