full time Hotel Operations/Marketing Manager

We are a boutique ten-room Hotel/Retreat Center in Nosara, located on 2 acres of tropical gardens and jungle just a five-minute walk to the Ocean. We offer guests an affordable holistic/Eco-orientated experience.

We are a growing business and are looking for a confident and experienced professional to expand retreat and hotel bookings and increase our media visibility.

Duties/Responsibilities:
During our green season, May through November, the primary focus is marketing and increasing sales.

Marketing includes: Internet and Social Networking. Developing and maintaining marketing strategies with the management team. Network successfully to bring in business that includes hotel guests and retreat groups.
Operational duties include: handling reservations, basic office duties, concierge services, greeting and assisting visitors, answering phones, using and improving operating systems, helping with logistics of groups, guests and retreats.

Your Qualifications:

Previous hospitality, administrative and marketing experience, customer service, proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office.

Skills Required:
Spanish and English, bilingual ability is a must, interpersonal, team building, attention to detail, organizational, ability to work independently, administration, basic accounting, and 70 wpm typist.

People Skills Include:
Effective verbal, listening and written communication. You must be able to communicate well with prospective clients on the phone or via e-mail, to take care of guests, retreat leaders and participants with presence, clarity, and detail. You need to have a genuine interest in making the stay of our clients unforgettable.

Work Environment:
This is a low-key quiet environment. We are off the beaten path, slightly removed from the central tourist area. There is no public transportation and the town is spread out so personal transportation will need to be addressed. Candidates should be physically fit and be comfortable working in a tropical environment.

Ideally you will already reside in Costa Rica. You are a non-smoker, and live a clean healthy lifestyle. This is a long-term full time position, six days a week from 8am-5pm.
