Golf probably doesn't spring to mind when
planning a Costa Rican getaway, but it will become part of the
itinerary for many when they see the Resort's Arnold
Palmer-designed course. Carved out of the tropical landscape,
the 18-hole, par-72 course features 12 oceanside holes. Four
sets of tees make it accessible to golfers of all levels. Home
to many native creatures such as white-faced monkeys, the golf
course has been designed to respect their natural habitat. A
network of concealed tunnels and high ropes connecting trees
accommodates their travel patterns.
Beyond golf, recreational opportunities
abound at the Resort, with a wide range of water sports from
world-class fishing, snorkelling and sea kayaking to sailing and
surfing. For a more relaxing diversion, the Resort's Spa offers
a range of treatments, using local ingredients such as mineral
rich volcanic clays and thermal spring waters taken at source
from a local volcano. The Kids for All Seasons program
promises to enlighten the little ones about the natural wonders
around them as well as entertain. Four Seasons is
also changing the face of dining in Costa Rica with its three
elegant restaurants. And of course, for those wishing to revisit
their adventure travel days, the Resort will arrange guided
canopy tours of Costa Rica's renowned forests.
