Playa Garza Information
Playa Garza is the last beach that is considered to be part of Nosara, past Playa Guiones, going South, past Playa Rosada and over the hill. The beautiful shape of Garza, its idealistic setting, its white sand and calm crystal clear waters are like out of a dream.
Garza also provides shelter for boats, as it is a wonderful natural harbor. Treat yourself to fresh fried fish in one of the small sodas on the beach, and feel transported back in time, in this sleepy little village where nothing, it seems, has changed for a long, long time. Watch the glorious sunset, slow down, everything is easy, and nothing seems to matter anymore. Take slow lazy walks on the beach; inhale the natural beauty and the peace of Garza.
If you are into sportfishing, then you are definitely in the right place; Marlin and Swordfish are a common prize, while Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, and snapper are plentiful and easy to catch. As Garza is protected from the winds which normally sweep the area from December to April, the fish are always present in these waters during that time. It is not necessary to go very far before hitting some of the deepest parts of the submarine canyon that start in North America and stretch all the way down to South America.
Dolphins and whales are often seen jumping in the horizon. Howler monkeys are hanging from the trees, iguanas can be seen taking in the sun in the most unexpected places. Life is truly beautiful in Garza. Could this be paradise on earth?
