Located along the Guanacaste shores, Playa Ocotal is one of the cleanest in the area and offers great snorkeling thanks to its clear waters. The privacy does not come without a price however, which can be noted in the hotel bill. It is a convenient 5km south of Playa del Coco, a livelier beach town to the north, although the Ocotal Father Rooster Restaurant puts up a fight with its popular beach front parties.
