Jaco Restaurants
Try the fajitas (which traditionally do not come wrapped in a tortilla like you thought) at El Recreo, the watering hole for many Jacó locals. The drinks are cheap and the food is tasty but limited. It sits a few paces off the main strip on a gravel driveway, across from the National Bank.
Offering meat and seafood all prepared on an open fire, BBQ Tangerí is a Costa Rican style BBQ with flare (in more ways than one). Phone: 2643-3259.
Susie Q’s serves great BBQ seafood, chicken, and meat. It’s only open for dinner, so get there early enough to grab a seat.
Pacific Bistro is a great Pacific-rim fusion restaurant with plenty of options for carnivores and vegetarians alike. Try the Asian inspired seafood options fresh from nearby waters. Located in town next to Hotel Tangerí. Phone: 2643-3771.
You can get lobster at a lot of places in Jacó but the best deal is at El Hicaco. It sits right on the beach downtown and offers all-you-can-eat lobster on Wednesday nights. The food is fresh, simple, and uncompromising.
