Playa Tambor

Tambor is yet another Costa Rica town characterized by its beach, which happened to be the backdrop to Temptation Island 2. The town sits around a horse shoe shaped bay with calm warm waters that attract whales and other marine life. Tambor has the only national airport in the southern Nicoya Peninsula, and can also be reached by the Tambor ferry service. It is a great stop over point on the way some of the more tropical beaches on the Pacific side of the Peninsula, which look close, but when you see the roads, you will understand why "driving time" take about 1.5 hours.
