Orosi

Orosi is a well-guarded jewel which gained importance as a tourist destination only quite recently. It is located in the province of Cartago, about 35 kms away from San Jose, in the beautiful Orosi Valley. Visitors come to see the old Temple of San Jose Orosi, which is its main attraction. The church also contains an old Monastery, the oldest one in the country that has been transformed into a Museum.

Orosi is located 23 kms away from Cartago. From Paraiso, take the Orosi road, and follow the signs. There is an Orosi bus in Cartago.
