General Comments on Hotel:

I thought the location was great and really enjoyed the breakfast on our second morning as it’s been a long time since I had bacon, eggs, hash brown and waffles and although the breakfast on day 1 wasn’t great by any stretch of the imagination I would put that down to arriving there 10 minutes before they were due to close. The rooms were a little cramped with the 2 queen beds and I wasn’t too impressed with the outdated bathroom but the shower was quite nice, quite a welcome change from my suicide shower at home. One thing I thought was quite dangerous is with the rooms on the bluff as there is a small green area and then a steep drop to the ocean and no signs to railing to warn you about them, I was concerned as we arrived at night and were walking in this area to take a look at our surroundings . Overall I thought the staff was great as they were very friendly and helpful and the shuttle bus that takes you to the highest rooms ran very regularly and generally arrived within 3-4 minutes of it being requested. The beach was very nice, black sand and probably the best swimming beach I’ve been to since I’ve been here as there are no waves crashing on the shore
