Why Costa Rica and Panama?

Central America is one of the most fascinating places on this Earth, a land of natural and human delights. It is here that the first great American civilizations flourished, here that most of the descendants of Native Central American people still live and here that the great adventure of the Conquest of the New World began.

Central America is a land of burning colors and passionate songs, a land of magnificent contrasts, from the steaming tropical forest to the high cone shape peaks of active volcanoes to the idyllic beaches of the Pacific or Caribbean. On the Pacific side the land surface slopes up rather abruptly from a narrow coastal plain, and as one navigates this incredibly irregular topography is exposed. This is one of the highlights of the a trip to Costa Rica and Panama, either swimming, kayaking or just driving, spectacular views of volcanoes and high mountains are in front of us every day. The southernmost limit of Central America, Costa Rica and Panama, is extremely rich in history; from Balboa to Cook, from Fernandez de Oviedo to Humboult, from Magellan to Vancouver, to Morgan to Van Der Built, from Drake to Pizarro, to Wallace ,to Darwin, El Camino Real, the Construction of the Panama Canal and much more.

The isthmus of Central America forms a bridge between North and South America, also known as a Biological Filter, and hosts an incredible amount of species of flora and fauna, many of them unique or endemic to the area. Six percent of all the world species are found here. Nature is really something that stands out, and scientists and nature lovers have been coming here for years to admire the magnificent bio-diversity of this land.

Costa Rica and Panama, two countries perfect for the traveler interested in Nature, history, and geology. We are much more than beaches. Come and find out yourselves for an unforgettable travel experience.
