Costa Rica - San Jose’s Slippery Sidewalks
As we approach the end of the Green Season here in the tropics I am not only looking forward to some uninterrupted sunshine but also an end to the slippy sidewalks are making life treacherous throughout the country.

Costa Rica Travel — Slippery Sidewalks
This is the first time I have noticed this phenomenom since my arrival on these shores a couple of years back, this may be due in part to my reluctance to leave the house apart from essential trips to the store to stock up on food supplies, I used to work from home. Now that I am a full fledged member of society again because of my job here, I am finding it a major irritant to have to negotiate the mean streets here particularly during or just after rain. Despite trying every pair of footwear I have with every type of grip imaginable from hiking boots to sneakers to moccasin’s nothing grips and I still find myself slipping and sliding into the office every morning. I think it might be wise to invest in some ice skates for next year.
So, the question remains, what is this dangerous black fungus that is takes over during the Green Season and what can we do to stop it? Suggestions on a post card please…

What about a special moustache bristle attached to the soles of your shoes?
Try wearing heels and managing the side walks. LOL
