Last weekend I made a trip down to Manuel Antonio - one of my favorite places in all of Costa Rica. It was beautiful as always and I really enjoyed our hotel room at the Makanda by the Sea. This hotel is beautifully situated in the rainforest and nature is one of their biggest themes.

This was particularly true when trying to go to sleep. I could hear howler monkeys, crickets, and all sorts of other jungle noises. I felt completely comfortable tucked away in my mosquitero (mosquito net) while the nocturnal activities of all sorts of creatures buzzed around me continuously. It was marvelous to fall asleep listening to the jungle’s natural techno! A great night sleep to say the least.
