A Different Side of San Jose
I have been Living in Costa Rica since the middle of July and most days consist of partly cloudy mornings and then in the mid afternoon it switches over to a massive downpour. From what I was told this is what the green season is like in San Jose, so I thought nothing of it. That was until yesterday.
Yesterday the weather took a drastic turn from the normal everyday cycle. It was the usual morning with sun and some heat but then around 1pm when it normally turns grey and rains, it lightly misted for about 20 minutes and cleared right back up. It was the first time since I have arrived that it was sunny when I was done with work, which is around 5pm.
The city takes on a whole new personality when it stays light late into the day. Loads of people are walking their dogs, playing with their kids at the park, washing their cars, and just plain enjoying the sun. You can also see the contour of the mountains that frame the city. So I guess San Jose is a multifaceted city.
