Job Fair in Guanacaste
With the recent boom of projects in the Guanacaste region, there have been thousands of job openings that need to be filled. There are approximately 1,158 jobs in the Northern region in all areas from car rental to tour operation to hotel staff. A job fair in Liberia on Saturday will hopefully fill most of these positions.
There are around 40 companies that will be attending the job fair to promote their companies and hopefully nab some employees. Most companies are looking for fluent English speakers, as most of the tourists here in Costa Rica are English speaking.
Hopefully this will decrease the unemployment in the region and increase the already booming tourist industry in the region. Without having to bring in workers from other regions, companies will reduce the travel costs and the residents already have a vast knowledge of the area that they can share with the visitors.
