Costa Rica’s Miss Surf Organic and Natural Finalists Chosen

These Costa Rican girls were chosen as finalists for their natural beauty.

The final contestants for the Miss Surf Organic and Natural pageant were chosen this past weekend at the second-to-last Costa Rica National Surf Circuit 2008 (CNS) event, the Banco Nacional Tournament in Playa Dominical. The first place winner, Stephanny Amador, and her sister, runner-up Andrea Amador, will be traveling to Playa Hermosa for the Gran Terreza Reef Final the weekend of April 26th to compete against the other 10 finalists for the Miss Organic and Natural title.

Two finalists were chosen at each of the first six Surf Circuit events in Jacó, Playa Hermosa, Tamarindo, Nosara, Playa Carmen and Dominical to compete in the final event that is just around the corner. The final judges will be looking to choose the most natural beauty on Saturday, April 26th to hold the official Miss Surf Organic and Natural title, which includes $1,000, gifts from the sponsors and a spot in the Miss Reef competition that will take place in November when the Latin American Surf Circuit comes to Costa Rica.

The girls will have a busy schedule over the weekend between visiting tourist destinations, participating in extreme sports, dining at some of the most popular restaurants in Jaco and signing autographs, among other things courtesy of the event’s sponsors.

The winner will be announced in the evening amid night surfing, body board competitions and the official 2008 National Surf Circuit Award Ceremony where the winners of each of the 13 surf categories will be named.
