Costa Rica Taco Heaven
After 2 weeks I have finally found it. I have found my favorite place to eat here in Costa Rica. I often think to myself, “if I had to have one type of food for the rest of my life, what would it be?” Every time, I respond with tacos! There are so many variations and different things to put in them that one could almost never get bored.
We were driving through Jaco from a great weekend in Manuel Antonio and to top it off we ate at what I think is the best restaurant for tacos I have ever encountered. It is an open air restaurants that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, and amazing smoothies. It is famous for their fish tacos. In addition to their great drinks and tacos they have an amazing salad bar with everything from rice to veggies to deli salads to an array of salsas. This is not your average taco spot. The presentation and level of gourmet are impeccable.
For lunch I had a tuna taco grilled with herbs and an ice cold, fresh squeezed lemonade. With the assortment of meats you can choose what type of marinate; spicy, herb, or coconut. I don’t think you can go wrong with any. The drinks come in liter sized cups so it is a good idea to split one.
I am excited to venture back there again and experience the mouth-watering bliss. For more information on their menu or location go to their website: tacobar.info/centro.htm.
