The Zephyr Palace sits on the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.
I was completely taken by surprise over the weekend when I revisited Villa Caletas, one of my favorite hotels that holds a close resemblance to paradise. This time, however, I had the opportunity to visit Zephyr Palace, which I did not know even existed (it is brand new) and that is when I discovered a Paradise within Paradise.

Condominiums Club del Sol in Jaco.
This weekend I had the pleasure of visiting Hotel Club del Sol, in Jaco. The first thing that pleased me about the hotel was it’s location, location, location! If you’ve never been to Jaco before, I can tell you it’s notorious for it’s nightlife and is always packed, regardless of the season. Not that I don’t enjoy a night out on the town once in a while, but if I’m at the beach I usually want to relax 90% of the time, and party 10% of the time, so having a place to stay that can offer me that luxury is priceless!

Costa Rican’s hopes of returning to the World Cup waning.
Costa Rica’s poor run of form continued last night as the Ticos traveled south to face Peru and came out losing 3-1. As Costa Rica continue playing friendly games in preparation for their World Cup qualifying campaign, the more it appears that the Central American nation will fail to make it to South Africa with only 1 win in their last 11 games despite their encouraging performance.
