Tree House
One of the most talked about new properties in Costa Rica in the Tree House, just outside of Puerto Viejo. I had the privilege of staying here this weekend, and it was truly a privilege. This is one of the most unique places to stay if you are coming to visit Costa Rica! Warning to those seeking luxury amenities such as TV, air-conditioning, and walls, this is not the place for you! There are three casas here designed around massive trees, a great place to play Swiss Family Robinson!
The property here is massive! I got lost a couple times walking around the Green Iguana Preserve (the green iguana is endangered in this area, only 500-2,000 exist in the wild, the preserve is home to over 300). There is also a path with landscaped gardens, along the path you can find trees and plants from all corners of the world. The property is so large and green that you can not see from one casa to the next. To top it off the property has a small access to the tropical Caribbean beach, where more than likely you will be the only person for hundreds of meters.
For anyone headed to this exotic property I would highly suggest the Beach Suite Casa, by far this is the best of the homes here, it is the newest and most impressive here. It has a rooftop deck, and the largest bathroom in Costa Rica! The bathroom could sell the house by itself, from the outside it looks like a submarine, the inside would make Austin Powers choke!
Excellent property, for me it is the only place to stay if you are looking for family destination on the Caribbean side.
