Punta Islita Hotel Review
Overall, I really liked this hotel. I would recommend flying there as driving there takes a long time on some rough roads and through some rivers. If you’re going to drive, you definitely need a 4×4, especially in the green season. The rooms are not all that luxurious but very clean and comfortable.
The whole hotel is designed to look tropical yet rustic with thatched roofs covering every room and building. The beach is nothing special as it is dark sand and rocky. I don’t think many people will end up spending much time on the beach because the pool areas are much nicer. There is a beautiful infinity-edge pool for adults only at the top of the hill near the lobby. There is a beach club down by the beach which is suitable for families. The service is really what sets this hotel apart. I found the service here to be among the best I’ve had in
Costa Rica. The staff was always friendly and willing to help. The check-in process was especially impressive with them taking us to the dining room to get lunch while our check-in was done while we were eating. I would recommend this hotel mainly for couples and honeymooners but there were also some families there that were having a great time.
