Lost Iguana  is a luxury Costa Rica hotel in an area where the hotels are rather rustic, but are slowly moving towards more up-market hotels.  It is located about 20 minutes from the town of La Fortuna as if you were driving around the lake to Tilaran, as you go over the dam you take your immediate right and follow a road for 5 minutes until you get to the hotel.

The view from the hotel is most impressive and in my opinion one of the best in Arenal as you do not have to strain your neck constantly to see the volcano as it is always there.  All the rooms have volcano views and terrace areas.  The hotel is great for couples or largerÂ
family groups with elder children as under children under 6 years old are only allowed in the Celebrity Villas.

The design of the rooms is very rustic again with Bamboo beds and furniture that can sometimes give a musty smell with the AC but once you open the doors it soon goes away.

I would highly suggest the hotel for couples on honeymoon as there were 6 couples there and all on their honeymoon.
