Just came back from an AMAZING vacation near Lake Arenal – we rented a beautiful house called “Casa Gavilan” (www.casagavilanarenal.com). This lovely house has its own private pool, is surrounded by tropical rainforest, and has sweeping views of Lake Arenal and the hills of Monteverde. We spent a week just relaxing and watching the toucans, hummingbirds and howler monkeys visit us! I recommend it to anyone who might be traveling to Costa Rica and wants something a little classier than the standard beach vacation.
