El Diria, Tamarindo Costa Rica Hotel

Costa Rica hotel Review - Tamarindo Diria
On Saturday, November 24th, I had the pleasure of touring El Diria, a Costa Rica hotel in Tamarindo. The prime advantage of El Diria is its convenient location. The attractive hotel has over 180 rooms and is located in the middle of the town of Tamarindo. This is especially handy for those travelers wishing to “be in the middle of the action.” Within close walking proximity, guests will find shopping, surfing enterprises, restaurants and clubs.
The original part of the hotel was built more than 30 years ago and has since been updated. This part of the hotel is located right on the beach with 92 Sunset Rooms, a Terrace restaurant, reception area and reception pool enjoying excellent views of the cobalt blue ocean. The panoramic view of the ocean includes mountains to the left and right, fishing boats and waves splashing on rocks. The Terrace Restaurant is built around an ancient, native, gnarly tree with an expansive canopy. While the tree shades the dining area, it also provides shelter for several species of native birds and animals.
Throughout the hotel, the guestrooms are comfortably air conditioned. The business center provides free access to desktop computers. Wireless service is also free and available in the business center, reception area and Terrace Restaurant.
The newer part of the hotel is located across a small, busy street. These rooms enjoy an excellent view of the award-winning pool. The pool of this section offers a swim up bar, hot tub area, primitive statues, tropical vegetation and soothing fountains. El Diria also built an outdoor stage and seating area for exciting, live performances.
The rooms in this area are more quiet and tranquil, with stylish, wall-mounted flat screen TV’s. The hotel is also in the process of constructing two new wings in this area. This new addition will more than double the room capacity of El Diria thanks to its height, which will offer picturesque views of the ocean and surrounding mountains.

[...] Tamarindo Diria is one of my favorite hotels. Of course not everything is perfect, like with everything there are positives and negatives. I love the style of the hotel and when you walk in you are instantly drawn to the hotels pool next to the reception desk. I think this is makes the place unique and I love this type of layout. Upon check in they give you a coupon for a free welcome cocktail by the bar which is a nice gesture. By the bar, there is also the indoor and outdoor restaurant. Everything is open and spacious, but there is easy access to all of the hotels facilities at the same time. [...]
I’ve found a great product for this sort of hotel events: a water screen for classy presentations and projection art or videos
