Bahia del Sol (review)

On the weekend of the 27th of November I visited Bahia del Sol in Playa Potrero as they were celebrating receiving a 4 star rating.

The rooms were adequate. The pool was nice. The hotel was directly on the beach and the food was very good. The breakfast was a mix of tipico and american. Wireless internet access is available in all of the rooms although the safes in the rooms are not big enough to fit laptops. There is only one television in each suite and they were very small, approximately 19″.

We also went on a Catamaran cruise with Marlin del Rey. The boat can comfortably fit thirty five people. They provided chips, various dips and assorted fruit that while good, was not enough for all of the people on the boat. Beer, soda and water was also provided. The catamaran anchored halfway through at which point we were able to get in the water for about twenty minutes and snorkel, although there was no reef and I saw no fish. I would definitely give Bahia del Sol a shot as it’s not the most luxurious hotel but for clients not looking to spend that much who’d like to be close to the beach and still expect good service it fits the bill.
