What happened to Tribal and where do we go now? Well at first it looked bleak for us punk rockers, rockabilly, new wave, and retro kids. No where to go and all of the bars are closed. People gathered outside of the closed Tribal hoping that it was just another temporary closing until some government official was happy.

But the street stayed quiet and dark and the doors never lifted. How do you close a bar where the bartenders are your friends, the floor was so dirty that if you dropped anything it stayed there to die, and you got to run the “jukebox”? You do it if you want to break hearts and break hearts they did.Area City or as it used to be called Area (rhymes with city but in English is a bad word was an option for some people but it was sooooooo small, unless you planted yourself on a wall and just drank profusely until you forgot your claustrophobia, wasn’t an option for everyone.

Then Area City closed….But then it opened! And it was HUGE.. well huge compared to what it was before. And now we have a home again. I missed you Billy.
