Transport Ministry Cracks down on Bad Service
If you have ever felt powerless against a taxi driver who overcharged you, or against a careless bus driver who refused to stop at your usual drop off, now there is something you can do about it.
The Costa Rican Transport Ministry (MOPT), has opened a new page on their website where users can submit a claim ticket reporting bad service from public transportation providers.

While it might take some time to process all claims, the Ministry promises to read and investigate all legitimate tickets. The Ministry is placing the transportation providers on a higher evaluation scale, and hopes to eliminate abuse and bad service by making them directly accountable to the public.
