I've been to Del Caño Island off the coast of Osa in Costa Rica. This island was is a sacred posthumous island. You walk to a rock sphere lies that at the end of a desolate jungle trail.

Guayabo, on the slopes of the Turrialba volcano, is another mystical place. A ancient indigenous city with paved roads and functioning aqueduct.

Costa Rica has been thought to be a land with a small number of indigenous peoples. My bet is that their true dimension has yet to be discovered by the western world. We're getting there one site at a time.
