Costa Rica Buried Alive
Rain has been constantly hitting the Central Valley and the Central Pacific for the past three days causing worry and havoc for citizens near rivers and hillsides.
Seven homes in Atenas were completely destroyed in the early hours of the morning leaving 13 people missing and 2 already confirmed dead. The Red Cross was on the scene as were over 200 volunteers searching through the mud and rocks. Just minutes before the mudslide residents said they heard a rumble and soon after windows broke from the force. The houses are completely buried, almost as if there was never anything there.
Although it looks as if the rain is lightening up compared to the last few days there is more on the way.
