Palo Seco, Puntarenas

Cabinas la Tranquilidad is an oceanfront hotel on the Central Pacific Coast between Jaco and Quepos/Manual Antonio. Playa Palo Seco is the wide sandy beach in front. Behind is a wide mangrove estuary and an awesome view of the huge mountain range.

Cabinas la Tranquilidad is beachfront with four separate units, each with private tiled bath, that when combined will sleep 20 people. Each cabina is a large hotel room with tile flooring, teak ceiling, air conditioning, ceiling fan, coffee maker, covered tile porch with hammock, and hot water shower. One cabina has 1 double bed. The other two cabinas have 2 double beds and 2 single beds, bunked. A fully-equipped kitchen and dining terraza are in an adjacent building. The small house has a double bed and 2 single beds in the bedroom, plus 2 single beds, bunked, in the sunroom. It has hot water shower, 1 1/2 baths, tile flooring, air conditioning, ceiling fans, automatic washer, and a fully-equipped private kitchen. All units are available for daily or weekly rentals, with a 2 day minimum. Secure private parking is on-site. This is a perfect location for groups of friends or family.

The beach is wonderful for shelling, swimming, surfing, walking, biking, or fishing. Sunrises and sunsets over the ocean on this south-facing island are magnificent! This is a tranquil setting you will never forget! Two swimming pools are in the center of the property. The billiard table, darts, and foosball are in the Recreational Rancho. Satelite TV is located in the dining terraza. Bikes and games are available for guests, as are beach towels and beach chairs. The on-site caretaker keeps the grounds and gardens beautiful. Daily maid service is included. The on-site property manager will advise and assist with tours and other concierge services.

For the adventurous there is much to see and do beyond the tranquility of Cabinas la Tranquilidad. Manual Antonio National Park is about 40 minutes south. Adjacent to the park is Quepos with nightlife, a small airport, and a hospital. Jaco, about 40 minutes north, is known for its nightlife and surfing beach. Sport fishing, local estuary fishing, mangrove tours, zip line canopy tours, horseback riding, 4 wheeler tours, white water rafting, paramotoring, kayaking, and more are available nearby. Mountains and rain forests are waiting to be explored. Endangered giant sea turtles come ashore to lay their eggs every year at Playa Palo Seco.

For the most immediate needs, the bustling town of Parrita is only a 10 minute drive from Cabinas la Tranquilidad. Parrita has banks, supermarkets, restaurants, shopping, and a medical clinic. Parrita still has the character and charm of small-town Costa Rica. PURA VIDA!
